What Does a Chiropractor Do?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Joint dysfunction (also called subluxation) can compress or impinge upon those nerves, causing miscommunication between your brain and body, which leads to problems in organs and tissues.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joint dysfunctions (often called subluxations but many chiropractors)\u00a0 negatively affect our health and well-being. In medical terminology, subluxation means partial <\/span>dislocation<\/span>, which is why we at Live Loud use terms like joint dysfunction or joint restriction. We view the joint dysfunction as a result of tight muscles, which can influence the movement of the vertebra from a variety of causes such as injury, postural stressors, or overuse. These regions of joint <\/span>restriction<\/span> commonly are tender and can be painful with movement. These vertebral joints are not moving and functioning as optimally as they should.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our nervous system is profound! We are constantly getting information from throughout our body sent to our brain to tell us the story of what is going on. When there is a joint restriction, the brain is not getting adequate feedback from the joint space and the surrounding muscles. By restoring the proper function and movement of different regions of the body, we improve the quality of sensory information the brain <\/span>receives<\/span> and thus improve how our brain then controls our body.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
